Low Voltage Technician

Due to growth in our organization, WireQ has a requirement for a Low Voltage Installation and Service Technician on a full-time, permanent basis. 

 

You will work as part of a team on various projects in a variety of sectors: residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural:

  • Perform Low Voltage Installations on New Construction residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural sites.
  • Perform troubleshooting and service work on various low voltage systems and devices ,
  • Assist with installations of security products, such as: surveillance cameras, alarm panels, access control, and electric strikes,
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of cabling and fiber networks in new and existing buildings, possibly involving outside work.

To be a qualified Low Voltage technician, you will have aptitude for or experience in Security, Communications and Networking Systems; special consideration will be given to candidates who also hold the following certifications:

  • Arial Lift training,
  • Fall Protection,
  • Fall Arrest,
  • WHMIS Training.
  • Axis Communications Training Certificates
  • Bosch Training Certificates
  • DSC, Paradox or Honeywell Security System Training Certificates
  • BICSI Cabling Installation Credits or Certification

 

You will provide excellence and customer care with the following skills and abilities: 

  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic,
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team,
  • Ability to follow instructions, verbal and written,
  • Good working knowledge of construction and the ability to read drawings and blueprints,
  • Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario.

309A Journeyman Electrician

Due to growth in our organization, WireQ has a requirement for a 309A Journeyman Electrician on a full-time, permanent basis. 

You will work as part of a team on various projects in a variety of sectors: residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural:

  • Perform new construction electrical installations on residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural sites.
  • Perform troubleshooting and service work on various electrical equipment,
  • Potentially assist with installations of security products, such as: surveillance cameras, alarm panels, access control, and electric strikes,
  • Potentially assist with the installation and maintenance of cabling and fiber networks in new and existing buildings, possibly involving outside work.

You will hold a Journeyman Electrical ticket in the Construction Maintenance 309A Designation, special consideration will be given to candidates who also hold the following certifications:

  • Arial Lift training,
  • Fall Protection,
  • Fall Arrest,
  • WHMIS Training.

You will work as part of a team on various projects in a variety of sectors: residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural:

  • Perform new construction electrical installations on residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural sites.
  • Perform troubleshooting and service work on various electrical equipment,

  • Potentially assist with the installation and maintenance of cabling and fiber networks in new and existing buildings, possibly involving outside work.

You will be a third or fourth Year Apprentice; special consideration will be given to candidates who also hold the following certifications:
